The Village Hall is close to the centre of the village on Chard Street and just north of the shop and church, next to the primary school.

Thorncombe is in the middle of a number of towns and their joining roads: Axminster to Chard A358 : Lyme Regis to Crewkerne B3165 : Chard to Crewkerne A30

• From the A358 : turn off for Tatworth (Perry Street/South Chard) Through the village and across the B3165 to Chard Junction. Cross the railway line and immediately left again. Look also for Forde Abbey signs (2k north of Thorncombe). This is Wheel House Lane and 2k to the Thorncombe turning on your right.

• From B3165 : watch for signs for Birdsmoorgate (just north of Marshwood /south of Blackdown) and turn west for 2k. At the crossroads turn right into the village (and then left into Chard Street). There are other routes in, but this way is recommended.

• From the west and Bridport : follow the signs for Beaminster, through Broadwindsor to Birdsmoorgate (above).

Take Care: some of the lanes into Thorncombe are single file rural lanes!
